Definition of fasting and its many benefits

 In the name of Allah the merciful, today we will learn about the definition of fasting in Islam and the Koran, and why Muslims fast every year a month, an average of 30 days, and that by fasting for eating and drinking and all breakfast from dawn to sunset.


The definition of fasting language


Fasting language of constipation, and constipation is about the lust of the abdomen and vulva from dawn to sunset, with the intention of worship, which is the fourth pillar in Islam

Allah has enjoined on Muslims in the second year of migration, and guide his hypothesis in the Qur'an verse:


 (O you who have believed, we wrote and before your Lord?) [Al-Baqarah: 183].


 And the sign and its answer in the Sunnah prophet say the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the correct Hadith:


 (Islam is built on five certificate that there is no god except Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of God, read the prayer and give zakaah Ramadan, and Hajj House for those who can afford).

Why fasting is so important


A medical study has shown that fasting has many positive effects on human health. Most notably the Prevention of chronic diseases, but also as a remedy for diseases of the digestive system, obesity, and other diseases we have in this report.


A recent study revealed that therapeutic fasting has a positive effect on human health and may prevent the body from cardiovascular disease, arthritis, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

About Imam Ibn Majah God's mercy, from the Hadeeth of ' uthmaan ibn Affan may Allah be pleased with him said :

I heard the messenger of Allah, peace be upon him says : Fasting is a shield of the people, as almost any of the fighting.


The messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:“the Almighty Allah says: the fasting is for me and I reward it, the fasting person has two Joy:


 if he breaks joy, and if he meets God, he will give him joy, which the same Muhammad with his hand to the mouth of the fasting person is kinder to God than the"Narrated by a Muslim and this is his word, and narrated towards him Ahmed and the women


Imam Ahmad from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet peace be upon him said : fasting is a shield and Bulwark grit of the people.


The messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: 

"fasting is a paradise, which is a fortress of the believer, and every work of its owner except fasting, God says: Fasting for me, and I reward it” narrated by tabrani. 


Pros of fasting in Ramadan


  • Fasting promotes detoxification


Pre-processed foods contain many preservatives and additives. Those additives turn into toxins inside the body. 


Many of those toxins are stored inside body fat, and during fasting those fats are burned, especially when fasting longer. This helps to eliminate toxins through the liver, kidneys and other body organs responsible for detox.

 

  • fasting works to rest the digestive system


During fasting, the digestive system has a period of rest.

 Thus the normal physiological functions, especially the secretion of digestive juices, but with a lower rate. Those practices help to maintain the balance of body fluids. 


Digestion of food also occurs at constant rates, which serves to produce energy at gradual rates. However, fasting does not prevent the secretion of infectious acids, therefore, patients with stomach ulcers are advised to be careful when fasting.

Some studies have confirmed that fasting helps to heal certain inflammatory and allergic diseases such as arthritis, and psoriasis.

Fasting stimulates rapid weight loss. Fasting prevents the storage of fat in the body.

It has been noted that fasting helps reduce appetite for ready-made foods. Instead, saves fasting desire to eat healthy foods, especially water and fruits.

A balanced diet between fasting periods helps boost the immune system, detoxify the body and reduce fat storage.


When eating fruits for breakfast, it helps to enhance the nutritional content of the body of vitamins and minerals. Also vitamin A and E are excellent antioxidants, and they help strengthen the immune system as well

Some researchers have confirmed that fasting helps to overcome the problems of addiction to nicotine, caffeine, etc.

Fasting is one of the oldest therapies in medicine. Ramadan is the ideal time to change eating habits and start a healthy diet, which prevents and may even cure chronic diseases such as diabetes, high pressure and cholesterol if you continue to follow it.


The benefits of fasting for Ramadan intersect with the intermittent fasting system, which is currently the most popular weight loss program.
